David Modesett

President

About David

David has more than 35 years of experience in the energy business. As an entrepreneur, he has built three companies while expanding scope and expertise during seismic changes in world energy markets.

In 2004, David founded Vega Energy Partners. Vega focused on structuring solutions for producers, midstream companies, utilities, LNG exporters, large end-users, and retail aggregators. These solutions included natural gas infrastructure development, asset optimization, and physical commodity management services. Business operations focused on Infrastructure Development and Infrastructure Management.

Vega created and aggregated demand across the eastern United States, leveraging this demand to drive $6.0 Billion of capital projects and over 5.6 Bcf/d of capacity additions including brownfield pipeline expansion projects and three greenfield pipeline projects. Vega’s long-term infrastructure-based solutions helped increase supply liquidity, lower costs to consumers, and reduce carbon emissions in the U.S., Europe, and India.

In 2021, David sold Vega Energy to a global commodity company. After the sale, David, with a core group of former Vega employees, founded Arc57.
